Reflection
This project has been a great learning experience for me. Growing up in sports, I was always the team captain. This meant I had to fulfill the responsibilities of being a team leader. As a result, I thought my project would be similar to those responsibilities. However, I was completely wrong. The project required much more organization and attention to detail in order for it to be successful. Although it took me some time to get used to those requirements, I adapted to my new leadership role and made the club a huge success.
As an engineer, I will constantly be working on design solutions for numerous projects. By gaining field experience and eventually moving up to a Project Management position, it is essential to possess leadership skills. This project has served as a solid foundation for me to develop my skills as a leader in addition to being an effective team member. Furthermore, I expanded my interpersonal communication skills by reaching out to various companies to provide prizes for club events. These new skills will ultimately aid me in being a successful engineer throughout my career.
